Well as you guys know I don't really post on here that often, I rarely even read this thing anymore BUT I feel I should post this and maybe someone would be interested. I mean honestly you should all be on my Facebook by now :P

Anyways I bought a bike a couple months ago and have been riding on a pretty regular basis and have been using a site called Bikely to track those rides. The links to all my rides and my profile are below :)

My Profile

Ok so just the link to my profile, I'm feeling lazy at the moment (first time riding more than 3 miles and I did almost 7.)

Yep another long time no post, so that's how bored I am. Happens a lot. So, I eat vegitables now. Weird I know, I used to say I hated most vegitables, but I've been known recently to eat and enjoy Broccoli and even Asperagharurushrush. However you spell it. That is all.
About this Entry
Oct. 12th, 2008 @ 01:56 am Holy god a post!
You know when I'm extremely bored because I'm posting on LJ.

01. MONKEYS!!! (there was no question so monkeys I say) Um question- Who is one person from your past that you miss the most?

I really don't have anyone I miss from the past. More like old relationships with friends, sometimes change sucks when people split apart.

02. What clothes are you wearing at the moment?

Brown Killians t-shirt and a pair of boxers

03. What did you recently finish?

Our hedgehogs 'Hedgie Land' cage. A custom made two level cage that he lives in.

04. What is your favorite scent?

Wood-Fire and decaying leaves.

05. What books are you reading at the moment?

Generation Kill and my Paramedic textbook

06. If it wouldn't hurt your chances in the job market would you get a tattoo on your hands, front of your neck, or on your face?

Nope.

07. Do you trust easily?

Probably a bit too easy. But betray that trust and it's really hard to earn it back.

08. How do you act around people you have a crush on?

Like a retard.

09. What did you want to be when you grew up?

Everything hehe, actually early on I wanted to be a doctor that evolved into 'marine biologist'. It's only taken 23 years but I've decided to start my career as a Paramedic.

10. Do you have a good body-image?

Unfortunately not, I wish it was better.

11. Do you have a LJ crush?

I haven't posted to LJ seriously in I think over a year. So that's a no.

12. What websites do you visit daily?

Honestly there isn't enough room here. I have a handful of forums, webcomics, RSS reader, email, etc that I check on a daily or atleast semi-daily basis.

13. Random pet peeve?

I have a lot of seriously random pet peeves, I can develop a pet peeve in the fraction of a second and not have that same pet peeve the next day. I'm really weird in that aspect.

14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

No tags I stole this.

15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?

I don't normally get songs stuck in my head, the last was probably something stupid.

16. What's your favorite item of clothing?

Hoodies

17. What's better: to give or to receive?

As much as I love receiving I think I like giving more.

18. What turns you on in your preferred gender(s)?

Smile.

19. Is there anything you want so bad right now?

A hot dog....(Movie reference, 10 points if you can guess the movie without googling or reading my comments)

20. What should you be doing right now?

Studying or sleeping

21. What would you rather be doing now?
Sleeping, which isn't going to be hard, after I click post I'm going to bed.

Found a neat site through a friend called Gimmie Your Stuff http://gimmeyourstuff.blogspot.com/

Basically you list what you are willing to trade and find someone you'd like to get some stuff from, get together and swap. It's all mostly about cultural items and things from your local area. Thought I'd join up as my friend put it, not many people from Kentucky in the program. So without further ado here is what I'm interested in:

Can Give:
Candies (General US stuff and things specifically famous in this area....burbon balls)
Drinks (Some things specific to my part of the US)
Cultural music from my area
Souvenirs
Books about my area

I'm generally open to give out most anything :)

Would like:
Cultural Music
Magazines (any type, something specifically cultural I wouldn't find here)
Cheap Jewelry
Cultural Clothing
Candies/Snacks/Drinks

Again I'm willing to talk about it and come to an agreement :)

Omg an actual post, cause michelle wants me to.

Blah Blah Blah, list 7 things/quirks/habits about you. Tag more people and keep it going. Well I'm not tagging cause we have the same friends list and the same wishes to see people fill it out . Yea.

1. I'm an organization freak. Generally I can let things slide (as you can tell from anyone who's seen my place) but some things just drive me insane.
2. I like to plan things but never follow through with my plans.
3. I like to draw floor plans and fill them out.
4. I really enjoy music from the early 1900's. Ragtime, Jazz, Swing
5. I'm a secret keeper, people have told me things I would never dream of telling other people. Ever. Not even Michelle.
6. I have the memory of a goldfish sometimes.
7. I take the stance of "I hate everything until it can prove to me that I shouldn't hate it" Refer to Elaphson and the 900 million new foods they've gotten me to enjoy taht I said I HATED.

The new site for those that still read this thing (seriously :P) is www.clangeek.org

It's a bit sappy but it's Michelle and I's foray into the family blog. The design of the site is based off someone elses work but all the graphics and color schema was done by me. Bookmark it into the sites you visit often, it's gonna explode when we go to Europe in a month (Omg we leave for Germany in a little over/under 5 weeks O.O)

BTW for those of you still in the dark, we'll be in Germany from Aug 22 to Dec 30. Those are our official flight dates :D

Anyways bookmark and check it out, I'll try and put some good updates in there although they might be few between till Germany :P

Well it's semi-quasi-kinda sorta official on the Germany front.  Not that it wasn't official before today just today is the first time it seems 'real' like "holy shit next semester I'm going to be in Germany"

We spent 5 hours today (since 0730) in abroad orientation, meeting our fellow travelers (19 of us confirmed, one maybe to make 20 going to germany, a low number apparently they usually take 25-35).  Went over alot of shit, had alot of my questions answered and more popped up.  Looking like it's going to be alot of fun but probably really expensive, I have yet to find a plane ticket less than 1007 (for Southwest Airlines from a student site) and  the next tier is 1300$ from the major booking sites for various airlines.  I think I might end up finding a travel agent to see what they can get me for flight costs.

And again for shit in Europe, was looking at a Eurail  pass, which isn't too bad all things considering but beings I want to go to some countries that are relatively far from Regensburg the cost is a bit higher.  That and the only country I really want to go to (Valencia, Spain for europes largest aquarium) is something like a 27hour train ride from Germany to Paris, Paris to Lyon, and Lyon to Barcelona then the final leg on local trains from Barcelona to Valencia.  Airfare might be worth it to me (170 Euros to fly to Valencia per person vs. a 15day 3 month eurail pass which is like a grand) but I'd really like to experience the train systems and such.  I REALLY want to ride on Frances TGV (Train a Grande Vitesse), it recently broke the world speed record under test conditions at 574km/h (357mph).  :D

So it occurs to me that I hardly update this thing, kinda a loss in interest and a loss of people who read it (no one to really interact with) has been the main reasons I don't think I post anymore.  I always say I'm going to try and change that so for once I'm not going to say that I'm just gonna try and post something atleast once a week. :P

Things have been a bit hectic lately as well, Michelle and I are preparing for our Wedding May 26th, so far we've got all of the major organization stuff out of the way but we still need a lot of deco items, and of our wedding party, maybe 20% of em have gotten their dress/tux.  Kinda aggravating but I understand, our bridesmaids/groomsmen are college students and are just as poor as us.  But everything so far is on plan, we FINALLY got invitations out so everyone should receive theres.  We sent out to a lot of people but don't expect many of the friends/some family we sent em to to go.  We even sent some out to our internet friends from WoW a year or so ago, I was a bit iffy on it as we all haven't played the game with each other in awhile, but eh whatever, if they wanna come they can :D

Sometime tomorrow we have to head to the Post Office to get my application for my passport filled out.  We are going to spend next semester in Germany (From August to December) looking REALLY forward to that.  Although Germany is stealing my Saturday though, we have to go to an orientation meeting at 7:30am, mandatory :(

About this Entry
Nov. 26th, 2006 @ 01:39 am Bob Seger @ Cinci
My Mom is a HUGE Bob Seger fan so for her birthday I bought her 2 tickets to go see Bob Seger in Cincinatti, I was 2 hours late logging onto ticketmaster (yep, two hours after they went on sale) and I got stuck in the high seating on the upper level. But that's ok, I gave her the tickets on her birthday and said she had the choice of who could go with her, so she picked my dad. Well as it got closer to the concert time, my dad decided that he'd seen Bob Seger before and that beings I had never seen them it would be nice for me to go with her.

So tonight my mom and I piled into her car (RX-8, I got to drive! yay!) and head off to Cincinatti. The show was being held at US Bank Arena, we find our seats, get some beers, and settle in. It's not long after we're sitting that the opening act comes out, a guy named Eric Church. This is not my style of music, it's very country and I can barely hear a word he's saying and the guitar is playing WAY over the vocals. So yea, they sucked. We sat through that for about 50 minutes or so.

Finally after they finished banging on their instruments and yelling into the mic we got a brief reprieve before Seger came out. When he finally came out my mom laughed and said something to the effect of "yay bob seger and the silver hair band." apparently they are really old and fat now. But damn good, this is the first time I've ever seen them live (considering the last tour they went on was in 1996) so I didn't have a prior basis, but my mom remarked that he still sounds really good and that it's the best show she's ever seen (she's been twice, once in 87 and once in 96). I have to agree, all of the songs sounded REALLY good, I got to hear all of my favorites as well, they didn't seem to mind cameras being brought in so I was able to record my favorite songs, although the only one that really turned out was Old Time Rock and Roll.

But all of the good songs were played, off the top of my head I remember:
Night Moves
Turn the Page
Ramblin Gamblin Man
Sunspot Baby
and a bunch more I can't remember right now :P

The show itself was pretty good, lights wise had some good effects with strobes and the drums, despite everyone being fairly older now there was ALOT of energy on stage.

A very good show, if you have the opportunity I really recommend picking up tickets, I hear most venues are sold out or have only really crappy seats left.

Today is the big day, my Chocobo becomes an adolescent today.  Yellow with white tips is what it's plummage is, so I dunno what color it will be, alot of the pictures I see say that white tips can be either green or yellow, while green would be pretty cool I definatly would rather NOT have a yellow chocobo.  But I'll take whatever.  Today I took him on his first long walk to Konstacht Highlands and got a CS of another Chocobo with three trainers which unlocked the compete option in care.  So after the walk I had him race the black chocobo which I must brag he won.  No need to feed him today as he was completely full already.

First thing I get is that the Zopekko I gave him yesterday healed him of his ailment and that he was feeling perky today.  Went on walks till it was too tired to walk anymore (about 3 walks) then watched over it for awhile (about 4 times, each time it said "High Spirits").  Not sure if at this point I can get any higher affection than parent but we will see.  After these I feed him Vomp Carrots again, I hope they make a difference in the stats, they are "SUPPOSED" to raise str as well as fill him up, but  I haven't seen an increase yet.  Also the more strength the faster it goes, or something like that.  Also got a new CS message for feeding today, usually I get either 'munches weakly' or 'gobbles up in one bite' today I got 'munches contentedly' don't know waht effects those messages, although I know sickness and being tired affects the 'munches weakly'.

Oct. 28th, 2006 @ 11:14 pm Wedding Location Pics (WARNING LONG!!!!)
I realize now that I don't think I've showed anyone the pictures of where our wedding will be at.  For those not in the know it's going to be at the Louisville Zoo (don't laugh it's pretty)

I've got the pics below with a brief explaination of each picture.  They are linked because I'm uploading the entire image and they are huge.  Dial up be warned :P

One of the cool thing about doing it at the zoo is we will actually get the animals in their exhibits and we get to pick which animals go where :)

Reception Room
Shots of the actual reception room.

This shot is of the corner, right behind that statue is the main entrance door, the wall is directly to my left in the picture. Behind me (and I didn't take a picture of it) for the entire length of the wall (minus a bit in the middle) are windows that look out into the exotic bird exhibits. Only downside is at night time they have to close thick blackout curtains to preserve the birds sleeping habits.

Same location but more of the room to the left. Room will seat I think she said 150 comfortably, 200 total.

On the other side of the room now, the left half.

And same position but shot to the right.

Shot from the middle of the room looking out towards the entrance. The door on the far right was where I took the picture in shot 1.

Just a neat statue that's in the room we want to have there when we do the reception :D

Reception Side Room
These are shots of a side room, we were thinking of turning this into a guestbook/gifts/kids room. Looks down into an exhibit, will probably put the oranguatang in here.

Show from the far side, the big glass wall looks into the exhibit. I think the monkey was doing funny shit at this time.

Same position but more to the left, pretty large room, would make a good kids play area. Although don't expect many small kids.

Reception Prep Area
These shots are more for organization things. It's of the prep kitchen in the reception area.

This is a shot from the door into the reception area. Fairly good sized prep kitchen, the door on the other side leads to a back entrance so that the caterers don't have to walk through the reception to bring anything in.

A shot of the huge ass fridge in there, also a backup fridge to the right in the corner.

Ceremony Site
Here are some shots of a couple of the outside locations in the same exhibit area.

This shot is on the other side of these two statue things you'll see in shot 5. It's more to the left and behind that sign there is a little kids train thing. This spot would be PLENTY of room for everyone but not much fancy as a backdrop, just bushes.

Same area but a shot of the rest, more to the left. I also think I'm standing exactly where we would stand (although facing to the left instead of straight back.

And this is farther into where I was standing before. Like I said we'd stand right on the other side of those bushes with the officiant in between the bushes. Let that mother fucker get all itchy from leaves.

Ok this is again the same area between this bushes but facing the opposite direction. Of all the locations this is the 'prettiest' for where we would be standing but has the least amount of room. There would be some sitting room for a few people (maybe 15 people) but the rest would be standing. The area is a bit deceptive in the picture, could fit probably 75 people total standing room here fairly easy. We don't plan on a long ceremony so it wouldn't be uncomfortable at all.

And finally you can see what I mean, the officiant would still be between the trees and we'd be flanked by the two statue things. Maybe some tiki torches if the zoo allows it (I dunno I'm not good at that sort of thing). This is where all the other shots originate from and where I was standing in shot four (although a bit more forward of the statues)

This is the most realistic area for seating. This shot is just a bit to the right or so of where we would stand, probably also the one area that makes the most sense for entrances and such, will probably be where it's actually held. (Want to see if they can move those statues over here hehe)

A view towards where I was standing in the previous picture. I can see us standing near the rock or at the rock and using that bench there for the person playing the entrance music. We don't know how that's going to work although we were thinking Violin or something like that.

View of the same area (using the previous picture as a guide) we're looking from the right to left here.

And a close up on the rock. It's pretty funny the entire time I was shooting pics this day all these kids kept getting in my shots. I'm pretty sure more than one parent thought I was a pedo :>

Backup Site
Here are a couple shots of where it would be if it rained outside.

This shot is kinda from the side against the wall, as you see theres not much room and it would pretty much suck if it rained. Lets hope it doesn't rain.

This is a different room with alot more room, but would have a bit less of viewing from the sides ,but atleast we could probably fit everyone inside.

Also feed from starving to full with Vomp Carrots, decided to splurge and see if these carrots differed much from the Sandy Carrots I was feeding him.  Hope they suck and I can go back to sandys cause they were expensive :D

Wasn't as hungry today so I only had to feed him 2 carrots to get him back to completely full.

Checked on the chocobo today and he was starving again so I fed him 4 Sandy Carrots took him from starving to full.  Took him for a couple short walks and watched over him once, did both of these before feeding.  For some reason I always feed him last.  No new CS yet.  Got a new option to scold, need to research scold and see what kind of effect that has.  Still no stat boosts =/

Feelins': accomplished
Yea it's been awhile, to say I haven't posted her for quite some time.

Last time in the life and times of Mc Me I had finished my practical exams and was slatted to take my written in a few days.  Well that time has come and gone, and then some more time has come and gone lol.  The good news is I passed my NREMT written evaluation so now I am a licensed EMT Basic.  I found the good news maybe a week or two ago and put in two applications so far to Murray-Calloway Co Hospital for the ambulance service...haven't heard back from either one so I'm gonna call probably tomorrow or friday and see if they let volunteers ride, just so I don't lose any of my skills.  It's times like these I wish I was back in Louisville, with me going through Lifesavers I would have had a job in NO TIME.  But apparently only one guy here has heard of lifesavers, and that was the one I talked to when I was inquiring about a position.  Apparently no one else has :P  I still have Paducah (which I wouldn't really mind working for them, they have some NICE ambulances) and Marshall Co that I can apply to....but that's it for this area, three ambulance services.  It's freaking ridiculous.  So I may or may not be using my EMT license, although I could possibly see if any factories around here use EMT's as first aid peoples.  Probably owuld have to do some OSHA stuff or hazmat training to do that though.

In other news school has been going awesome, I feel a little bad because I pretty much skipped classes from Tuesday and on, we have Fall break this friday so everyones all pissy because they only get a 3 day weekend but I've had a 5 day weekend :P  On the same token though I feel bad because I missed a lab, I missed a chemistry lecture, I missed Beahan talking about Sparta (I love Ancient Greece) and of course German, pretty much feel guilty missing all my classes, except english we don't do shit in that class.  But on the bright side I'm doing VERY well in my classes, I've had 1 test in Civ (unsure of the grade there), 1 in German (got an A), 2 in Chemistry (c on the first unsure on the second) and nothing in English.  So I'm doing pretty good I SHOULD be able to do A's and B's and MAYBE a C (chemistry most likely).

Yesterday and today have been interesting days, I finally got all my loan money that was supposed to have gone through a long time ago, all 2560$ of it.  I had originally planned on buying a laptop but since Michelle and I decided to go to Europe next year I'm going to delay the laptop, instead I'm letting myself spend about half of it and the rest is going in CD's to earn interest till we go to Europe.

So far the biggest things I've bought with the money were a Vacuum cleaner (ours died), a Xbox 360, and an entertainment center.  The 360 and the entertainment center were nightmares.  First off I buy a decent entertainment center because we've been putting our TV on our coffee table.  And there wasn't really room on the table for the TV and all the 'entertainment stuff'  so it takes us around.....4 1/2 hours to put this goddamn thing together.  Looks fucking amazing but took forever to peice together.  Once we got all that crap put together I wire up the TV, surround sound, new xbox 350, ps2, etc.  Get everything looking great with wiring and shit, scoot this giant entertainment system back and power on the 360......nothing.  boot screen.

My BRAND NEW xbox 360 out of the box starts fragging (for those that don't know fragging is the term for a defective xbox product...don't know why it's called that) so I check the error message it,s error E68 which is harddrive failure.  Ok so lets find out why, I pull the harddrive and boot it up...works fine.  Ok whatever I'll just leave it off and play a little dead rising and then take it back tomorrow (which I did today) so I play around with dead rising then I go to bed.

Today we broke down the Xbox and took it back to walmart, it took them about 30 minutes to do the exchange and we finally take our new 360 and start walking around the store just picking up random things to buy (things we need, not completely random :P) and we pick up a new vaccuum cleaner.  Glory Glory our fucking floors are clean now.  We haven't had a vaccuum with two cats and shitty carpet for about 3 months now.  So the floors were COVERED in balls of lint, fur, carpet fibers, etc.  So I vaccuum the floors, I have to empty the canister 5 times.  Count em, 5 freaking times our floors were so dirty.  So yea, we got clean floors now and things have been going good.

I can't think of much more happening so I'll cut this long entry :P
